First Avenue at about Redwood Street on Sunday (June 30th 2013). The police did respond and a report was filed.
I was relieved to hear that neither ambulance or hearse was required this time. However the lack of physical injury does not diminish its’ importance illustrating the seriousness of the speeding problem in Bankers Hill. We need comprehensive traffic calming in the First Avenue corridor.
The requested stop sign at First & Juniper is a good place to start. I have been informed by Traffic Engineering that the evaluation for that location will be completed by the end of July. I would appreciate it if your office would follow-up and make sure that the deadline is met.
