Due to a recent resignation, the Bankers Hill Neighborhood Parking Group, is looking for a new resident member.
What do we do?
45% of the parking meter funds after operational costs from the meters in Bankers Hill is returned to community to enhance parking and pedestrian safety in our neighborhood. We gather ideas from the community through monthly meetings and plan an annual budget for projects under guidelines set out by the city. When the budget and projects are approved by the city – we monitor implementation.
What is my time commitment?
There are two meetings a month. One the 1st Monday of the month, we meet as a neighborhood group from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm. On the 2nd Monday of the month, we meet with the Uptown Parking Advisory Board to share ideas, issues and plans. That meeting is also 5:pm-6:30pm.
What do I need to qualify?
Nothing more than live in Bankers Hill – either as a homeowner or tenant and have a commitment to improve our community.
